JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars continued focusing on defense late Saturday.

They focused on versatility and pass rush this time, too.

Jalen McLeod, a linebacker from Auburn University, on Saturday was selected by the Jaguars No. 194 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft – the 18th selection of Round 6.

McLeod (6-feet-2, 241 pounds), who played three seasons at Appalachian State before playing the past two seasons at Auburn, registered 22.5 sacks in five collegiate seasons. He had 13.5 for Auburn, including eight this past season.

McLeod registered 181 career tackles with 38 tackles for loss and he had 14 tackles for loss in 2024.

McLeod became the sixth player from Auburn selected by the Jaguars in the NFL Draft, the first since running back Tank Bigsby (Round 3) in 2024.

The Jaguars on Thursday selected: Colorado wide receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter No. 2 overall (Round 1).

The Jaguars on Friday selected: Tulane defensive back Caleb Ransaw No. 88 overall (Round 3) and West Virginia offensive lineman Wyatt Milum No. 89 overall (Round 3). They did not have a second-round selection, having traded that to the Cleveland Browns as part of a deal to move up to No. 2 from No. 5 overall to select Hunter.

The Jaguars on Saturday selected: Virginia Tech running back Bhayshul Tuten (No. 104 overall, Round 4) and Notre Dame linebacker Jack Kiser (No. 107 overall, Round 4).

The Jaguars have three selections remaining in the '25 draft:

  • No. 200 overall (Round 6)
  • No. 221 overall (Round 7)
  • No. 236 overall (Round 7)
