JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars went offensive early Saturday.
In so doing, they addressed a running back position that figures to be key in Head Coach Liam Coen's offense.
Bhayshul Tuten, a running back from Virginia Tech, on Saturday was selected by the Jaguars No. 104 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft – the second selection of Round 4.
Tuten, a senior who played at North Carolina A&T for two seasons before playing two seasons at Virginia Tech, rushed for 3,600 career yards and 41 touchdowns. He averaged 5.99 yards per carry for his career and also scored nine receiving touchdowns.
He rushed for 1,159 yards and 15 touchdowns last season in 2024. He was a second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection the past two seasons.
Tuten became the third player from Virginia Tech selected by the Jaguars in the NFL Draft, the first since wide receiver Ernest Wilford (Round 4) in 2004.
The Jaguars on Thursday selected Colorado wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter No. 2 overall (Round 1).
The Jaguars on Friday selected Tulane safety Caleb Ransaw No. 88 overall (Round 3) and West Virginia offensive guard Wyatt Milum No. 89 overall (Round 3). They did not have a second-round selection, having traded that to the Cleveland Browns as part of a deal to move up to No. 2 from No. 5 overall to select Hunter.
The Jaguars have five selections remaining in the '25 draft:
- No. 107 overall (Round 4)
- No. 194 overall (Round 6)
- No. 200 overall (Round 6)
- No. 221 overall (Round 7)
- No. 236 overall (Round 7)
