- In Week 16, the Jaguars defeated the Jets, 19-3 and posted a shut out in the game's final three quarters. Jacksonville has won four of their five last games and with a victory Sunday, it would mark their first four-game winning streak since 2017.
- QB Trevor Lawrence recorded his fifth rushing TD of the season against the Jets in Week 16. With one passing TD in Week 17, Lawrence will become the first quarterback in franchise history to total at least 25 passing TDs and five rushing TDs in the same season.
- "We still have our work cut out for us, but just to see how the team has grown, how we've stuck together, especially just the staff, and the coaches, the confidence they've had in us [has been great]," QB Trevor Lawrence said following the Jets game. "We made adjustments and really started playing our best ball at the right time and it's about getting better every week. This one isn't going to carry over in Houston next week, so we have to go back to work, but I just love the momentum and the energy we have right now."
