The numbers are impressive.
More than 40,000 watts of sound, and 20 HD displays. More than $3 million spent.
Those are a few of the key numbers regarding the Jaguars' new locker room, and equally impressive was the work, focus, planning, style and commitment needed to pull off this project.
But those are words, and sometimes, words and numbers pale in comparison to a visual. This is one of those times.
In this case, you gotta see it to appreciate it.
Which is why we here at jaguars.com are providing extensive photo and video coverage as the franchise unveils a state-of-the-art facility inside EverBank Field that rivals any locker-room facility in professional sports.
The demolition of the old locker room began March 19, and with that phase being completed April 20, construction of the new facility began May 11. It was completed in time for the players' arrival for training camp Thursday morning.
Among the features: LED-lighted locker panels, steam and dry sauna areas, illuminated mirrors, elevated plunge pools, individual toilet rooms with European style lavatories, two self-contained waterfalls in the plunge pool area, custom locker chairs, computer work stations, 20 full HD LED displays ranging from 42 to 80 inches and a 41,600-watt sound system.
But those are just words. As Jaguars Head Coach Mike Mularkey said this week, "It's an amazing place."
Enjoy.
