JACKSONVILLE – Not long ago, his talent made him a Top 10 draft choice.
A little more than a year later, Leonard Fournette's talent – as well as his performance during his rookie season – are earning him recognition from his peers.
Fournette, the Jaguars' second-year running back, on Monday became the latest Jaguars player named to the NFL Top 100 Players of 2018 by the NFL Network. Fournette was No. 58 on the list, an announcement made Monday night when the network unveiled Selections No. 51-60.
Fournette, the No. 4 overall selection in the 2017 NFL Draft from Louisiana State University, rushed for 1,040 yards and nine touchdowns as a rookie during the regular season. He averaged 3.9 yards per carry and caught 36 passes for 302 yards and a touchdown.
