With the 2015 NFL Draft now concluded, the incoming class of drafted rookies will soon experience its first taste of NFL life.
And while the drafted rookies enter the NFL from a variety of different backgrounds, one thing they generally all have in common is an outstanding experience playing high school football.
A total of 240 high schools contributed to the 256 players selected in the seven rounds of the 2015 NFL Draft on April 30-May 2, USA Football announced today.
Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida led all high schools with three players selected – PHILLIP DORSETT(Indianapolis, first round), RASHAD GREENE(Jacksonville, fifth round) and BOBBY HART(New York Giants, seventh round).

Some interesting notes on high schools in the 2015 NFL Draft:
- Thirty-seven states, as well as Washington, D.C., Canada, Germany and American Samoa had at least one player drafted.
- For the ninth time in the past ten seasons, at least one player who attended high school outside of the United States was selected in the NFL Draft. One player from Canada was selected: defensive tackle CHRISTIAN COVINGTON (Houston, Round 6) from Vancouver, British Columbia. The past 34 NFL Drafts have featured 25 Canadians selected by NFL teams. The other drafted players to attend high school outside of the United States were running back JOEY IOSEFA (Tampa Bay, Round 7) from Pago Pago, American Samoa and linebacker MARK NZEOCHA (Dallas, Round 7) from Neusitz, Germany.
- Florida led all states with seven first-round selections in the 2015 NFL Draft. Georgia followed with four players selected in Round 1, while California and North Carolina each had three first-round selections.
- Florida (39) remained on top with the most drafted players in 2015. They were first in 2014 with 44 players drafted.
