JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed second-year WR Tevin Jones, the club announced today. Additionally, the Jaguars have released LB Leon Jacobs and K Aldrick Rosas.
Jones entered the NFL in 2016 when he signed with the Houston Texans as a rookie free agent, and he most recently played with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2021. He has played in five NFL games, all with Pittsburgh in 2019, and caught four passes for 61 yards.
Jones played collegiately at Memphis and caught 90 passes for 1,215 yards and nine TDs. As a junior in 2014, he tallied 442 receiving yards and three TDs on 33 catches. He attended Clear Creek (League City, Texas) High School and hauled in 34 catches for 610 yards as a senior.
