Purdue guard Uche Nwaneri is excellent value in the fifth round. The Jaguars selected Nwaneri with a pick acquired in a trade from Atlanta, who received all three of the Jaguars' sixth-round picks in exchange for the 149th overall selection. It is the first of three fifth-round picks the Jaguars own.
Nwaneri is strong and mobile and only needs to refine his technique to play on the NFL level. He gives the Jaguars immediate depth at guard and becomes a "jar on the shelf" for future use.
