The Jacksonville Jaguars had a group of special visitors today to their offseason workouts as actor Bill Murray and his five brothers --- Andy, Brian, Ed, Joel and John -- stopped by the stadium to test their football skills.
The group spent time on the field catching punts, kicking field goals and going through the conditioning program with the team. Several of the Murray brothers caught passes from the quarterbacks including David Garrard. The day ended with a special video session with Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio in the team meeting room.
Murray is in Jacksonville for the ninth annual Murray Bros. Caddyshack® Charity Golf Tournament on April 23-24 held at the World Golf Village, home of the World Golf Hall of Fame and Murray Bros. Caddyshack® restaurant in St. Augustine, Florida. Morning and afternoon flights are scheduled for tomorrow at King & Bear and Slammer & Squire Golf Courses.
The tournament has raised more than a million dollars to provide healthcare and education needs to children in Northeast Florida. In 2009, the Murray Bros. have partnered with The Guardian Catholic Schools, a non-profit organization located in Jacksonville. The organization's mission is ""to participate in supplying resources to St. Pius V and Holy Rosary Catholic schools to support them in providing educational and spiritual opportunities to children and families regardless of religious preference or economic status."
