Mathis leading winter coat and clothing drive

Jaguars Cornerback and Jacksonville native Rashean Mathis is leading the team and fans in holding a winter coat and clothing drive. In partnership with Dignity U Wear, new and gently used coats and any other clothing will be collected at the Jaguars game this Sunday, December 9.  Jaguars coaches, players, staff and fans are participating.

"As the cooler weather arrives, we have men, women and children who need warmer clothes.  We in the Jaguars family are blessed to be able to help those in need," Mathis noted.

The clothes will be distributed through agencies that support formerly homeless men and women who are getting back on their feet and need clothing for job interviews and re-entering the workforce.  Children's clothing will also be distributed to area homeless shelters.

Collection stations will be conveniently positioned around EverBank Field prior to the game on Sunday.  The first 200 fans donating clothing will receive a team photo or other item autographed by Rashean Mathis.
