The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed three players to contracts. The three are wide receiver Clarence Denmark, running back Allen Patrick and guard Cameron Stephenson(pictured). All three spent time on the Jaguars practice squad this season.
Denmark, 5-11, 185, spent the final four games on the Jaguars practice squad. He was originally signed as an undrafted rookie by the club on August 2 and was waived during final cuts. A native of Jacksonville, he played two seasons at Arkansas Monticello and finished with 91 receptions for 1,586 yards and 14 touchdowns. He began his collegiate career at Mississippi Delta Community College. He lettered in football and track at Robert E. Lee High School and was a first-team all-district selection as a senior.
Patrick, 6-1, 200, was signed to the Jaguars practice squad on November 25 where he spent the remainder of the season. He was a seventh-round pick of Baltimore in 2008 and also spent time with Cleveland as a rookie. He was signed by the Giants on May 11 and spent the preseason with the club before being waived on September 9 and spent a week on the club's practice squad. He began his collegiate career at Independence College in Kansas as a safety before transferring to Oklahoma. In 2006, he was thrust into the starting lineup with an injury to Adrian Peterson and rushed for 761 yards and four touchdowns for the Sooners. As a senior, he finished with 1,009 rushing yards on 173 carries with eight touchdowns.
Stephenson, 6-3, 326, spent 15 weeks of the season on the Jaguars practice squad. He was originally a fifth-round draft pick of Pittsburgh in 2007 and had spent time with Green Bay, Philadelphia and New Orleans before signing with the Jaguars as a free agent on December 16, 2008.
