JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars have selected Demetrius McCray in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
McCray, a cornerback from Appalachian State, was the fourth selection of the seventh round Saturday. He was the 210th overall selection.
McCray (6-feet-1, 187) who had 55 tackles and four pass breakups and four interceptions last season.
The Jaguars had used the No. 2 selection on Texas A&M left tackle Luke Joeckel, then selected safety Johnathan Cyprien from Florida International with the first selection of the second round. The Jaguars selected University of Connecticut cornerback Dwayne Gratz with the second selection in Round 3.
The Jaguars selected South Carolina wide receiver Ace Sanders in the fourth round and Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson in the fifth round. Robinson is expected to play running back for the Jaguars.
The Jaguars selected Florida safety Josh Evans in the sixth round and cornerback Jeremy Harris from New Mexico State in Round 7.
