JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Area youth ready to take their football skills to the next level and have some summer fun can sign up to participate in Jaguars Prep summer camps throughout June and July. Registration is now open at www.jaguars.com/prep for four regional one-day camps in St. Augustine, Gainesville, Ocala and Brunswick.
Created and led by Jacksonville Jaguars Director of Player Development and Youth Football Marcus Pollard, a former NFL tight end with 14 years of playing experience, Jaguars Prep summer camps will provide boys and girls ages 6 – 14 with a professional football training experience and valuable life skills. Pollard, along with expert coaches, Jaguars alumni and current players, will lead campers through football fundamentals, speed and agility training, as well as their very own NFL Combine experience. Campers will learn the "Way to Play" and the basics of football with a strong emphasis on character development, health, safety and fun. All campers will receive exclusive Jaguars gear and two tickets to a Jaguars preseason game this upcoming season.
"For our young Jaguars fans, football can become much more than a game. It can be a character-building experience for boys and girls alike," said Pollard. "We want all our campers to walk away from this program with improved techniques in addition to an appreciation for the value of physical activity, hard work and sportsmanship."
All regional summer camps will take place on Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to noon at the following locations:
