JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars have claimed wide receiver Stephen Williams.
Williams, released by the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday when the team activated Bruce Irvin, originally signed with the Arizona Cardinals as a rookie free agent in 2010. He played 13 games with Arizona in 2010-2011, catching nine passes for 101 yards in 2010.
Williams (6-feet-5, 208 pounds) played four games for the Seahawks this season. He caught seven passes for 236 yards and three touchdowns in the preseason, and had a reception of 38 yards or more in all four preseason games.
