Jags open preseason at Miami

The Jacksonville Jaguars will open the 2009 preseason at Miami on Monday, August 17 at 7:30 p.m., the club announced today. The date of the Dolphins game had not been determined when the rest of the team's 2009 schedule was announced last month.

It is the sixth consecutive preseason the Jaguars will meet the Dolphins in the preseason and eighth time overall. The preseason home opener is set for Saturday, August 22 against Tampa Bay. The Jaguars travel to Philadelphia on Thursday, August 27, their first ever meeting against the Eagles in the preseason. The preseason concludes on Thursday, September 3 against Washington.
