JACKSONVILLE – As expected, the Jaguars will be without their best running back Sunday.
They also will start Mike Glennon at quarterback, with the deactivation of rookie running back James Robinson and Glennon starting over Gardner Minshew II the biggest Jaguars news this weekend in advance of Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears at TIAA Bank Field.
Robinson, an undrafted collegiate free agent, has rushed for 1,070 yards in 14 games this season. He sustained an ankle injury in a loss at Baltimore last Sunday and was ruled out by the team late Saturday afternoon.
Glennon, who started three games before Minshew started the Ravens loss, was named the starter Saturday. He and Minshew competed in practice this week before Glennon earned the start.
Also inactive for the Jaguars Sunday:
Rookie quarterback Jake Luton, rookie cornerback Luq Barcoo, rookie wide receiver Collin Johnson, defensive lineman Caraun Reid, rookie tight end Tyler Davis and linebacker Quincy Williams.
