CHICAGO – The Jaguars will have their starting free safety Sunday.
Tashaun Gipson, the starter at free safety in the first four games of the season, will be active for the Jaguars' game against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field in Chicago Sunday at 1 p.m. He was not among seven players ruled out for the game.
Gipson as of Friday was expected to play against the Bears, but his status was in question when he was added to the injury report as questionable Saturday afternoon.
Wide receiver Rashad Greene Sr. (Achilles), running back Corey Grant (toe) and wide receiver Neal Sterling (foot) were among the seven inactives. Greene has been the team's punt returner and Grant has been the kickoff returner. The team did not announce who would handle those duties.
Also ruled inactive: quarterback Brandon Allen, cornerback Josh Johnson, defensive end Chris Smith and offensive lineman Bryce Harris.
