JACKSONVILLE – As expected Sam Young will make his third start of the season.
Also as expected, Young's task won't be easy, with the fifth-year veteran making his seventh career NFL start when the Jaguars play host to the Houston Texans Sunday at EverBank Field at 1 p.m.
Young will start at right tackle, where he often will line up opposite two-time Pro Bowl defensive end J.J. Watt. A player many consider the NFL's best defensive player, Watt – who has 11.5 sacks this season – likely will line up at various spots along the line.
The Jaguars also made seven players inactive Sunday an hour and a half before kickoff: defensive end Andre Branch, linebacker Khairi Fortt, offensive guard Tyler Shatley, running back Storm Johnson, wide receiver Tommy Streeter, cornerback Jeremy Harris and linebacker A.J. Edds.
Branch last Sunday against the New York Giants reaggravated a groin injury that had kept him out the previous four games. Fortt sustained a hamstring injury against the Giants.
