JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars will be very close to full heath Sunday.
That's because rookie linebacker Jeremiah George will be the only player missing the team's game against the New York Giants at EverBank Field for injury reasons.
Linebacker LaRoy Reynolds, who along with George was listed as questionable for Sunday's game in the final injury report of the week Friday, was cleared to play despite a neck injury, so was not among the team's inactives announced an hour and a half before kickoff.
George, who started at middle linebacker against the Cincinnati Bengals Week 9 before sustaining a high-ankle sprain, was among seven players declared inactive Sunday with the others being cornerback Jeremy Harris, cornerback Teddy Williams, running back Storm Johnson, guard Tyler Shatley, offensive tackle Sam Young and defensive end Chris Smith.
The Jaguars' starting linebackers for a second consecutive week will be Geno Hayes at the Otto, J.T. Thomas in the middle and Telvin Smith on the weak side. Demetrius McCray will start at cornerback opposite Dwayne Gratz with rookie Aaron Colvin expected to be the No. 1 nickel corner.
