Friday: "So far … no issues"

20181108-friday

JACKSONVILLE – All is good … so far.

That has been the story around Leonard Fournette throughout the week, and that remained the story Friday.

Fournette, the Jaguars' starting running back who has missed the last four games, practiced for a third consecutive day Friday. He worked full Wednesday and Thursday – all of which bodes well for his status for Sunday.

"So far, no issues," Head Coach Doug Marrone said Friday as the Jaguars (3-5) continued preparing to play the Indianapolis Colts (3-5) at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis Sunday at 1 p.m.

Fournette, who has missed six of seven games since sustaining a hamstring injury in a Week 1 victory over the New York Giants, was removed from the game status report Friday – a move that typically indicates a player will play Sunday.

"We'll see on Sunday, but he has done everything that we have asked him to do," Marrone said of Fournette, who has rushed for 71 yards and no touchdowns on 20 carries this season after rushing for 1,040 yards and nine touchdowns as a rookie last season.

"No setbacks. No nothing. Right now, he's completely healthy – today, at this time …"

Four Jaguars players were listed on Friday's game status report as questionable: Linebacker Telvin Smith (shoulder), tight end James O'Shaughnessy (hip), tight end David Grinnage (knee) and defensive end/linebacker Lerentee McCray (hamstring).

"Those guys are all 50-50," Marrone said.

Smith played through his shoulder issue during a Week 8 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles a week before this past weekend's bye, with O'Shaughnessy missing the last two games before the bye.

All-Pro cornerback A.J. Bouye (calf) and rookie free agent cornerback Quenton Meeks (knee) officially were ruled out on Friday. Neither player practiced this week, with Bouye having missed the Week 8 game against the Eagles and Meeks sustaining his injury during that game.

Cornerback D.J. Hayden, who missed the last six games before the bye with a toe injury, and cornerback Tyler Patmon – who missed the Eagles loss with a neck injury – both practiced this week and were removed from the game status report Friday.
