The Jaguars will focus all of their attention this week on signing their first two draft choices, defensive tackle John Henderson and offensive tackle Mike Pearson.
When fourth-round quarterback David Garrard signed a four-year deal this past weekend, the Jaguars were left with only two unsigned members of their nine-man, 2002 draft class. Garrard received a $424,000 signing bonus on a deal that will pay him league-minimum salaries of $225,000, $300,000, $380,000 and $455,000. His first two years' salaries include split-salary provisions.
Now, it's down to Henderson, the ninth pick of this year's draft, and Pearson, the 40th overall selection, and it's likely they will test this Thursday's reporting deadline for the start of training camp. The Jaguars will conduct their annual conditioning run late Thursday afternoon, and will begin their first day of two-a-day practices on Friday.
