To bring fans closer to the action at training camp, the Jaguars for the first time have moved bleacher seating onto the Field Turf field. The Jaguars' 2009 training camp will officially open Monday morning, when all 80 players are scheduled to hit the practice fields by Jacksonville Municipal Stadium at 10:45.
Practices will be open to the public for viewing through August 13, and the view will be better than ever. This arrangement will offer a more enjoyable experience at the practice sessions, and the new vantage point will give fans a closer-than-ever view of the two grass fields on which the team practices daily. Seating for approximately 1,750 fans will be provided in addition to standing room around the east and north sides of the fields.
Fans wishing to get autographs will be able to do so after each practice session. Players will sign once they reach the east edge of the FieldTurf field as they return to the locker room.
Training camp will feature 20 open practice sessions in the first two weeks of August before the start of the Jaguars' preseason games on August 17. There is no admission charge for training camp, and parking will be available in the parking lots surrounding the stadium.
Practice schedule: The schedule throughout training camp is subject to change, but currently is as follows:
