Positives…Strong-legged punter with good accuracy and consistency...Shows quick hand-to-toe action, generally getting the kick off in 1.1 seconds...Gets good rise behind his attempts with impressive hang time...Solid directional kicker with the ability to kick into the wind...Handles pressure well and can also handle kickoff and placekicking duties.
Negatives…Shows inconsistency in his hang time, shanking a few attempts when getting pressured... Needs to improve his direction skills, as he has problems at times placing his kicks near the sidelines.

2000 SEASON
American Football Association and Southeastern Conference Good Works Team selection... Academic All-District IV and All-SEC choice...Ray Guy Award semi-finalist, given annually to the nation's top punter...Punted 59 times for 2415 yards (40.9 avg) with 20 attempts being downed inside the 20-yard line...Only 31 of his attempts were returned... Handled kickoff duties early in the year, but was forced to give up those chores due to a nagging foot sprain that would bother him most of the season.
Preseason...Missed spring drills after undergoing thumb surgery (fracture/ligament damage).
Southern Mississippi...Averaged 42.6 yards on 10 attempts with a long of 58 yards and 6 boots downed inside the 20-yard line.
Florida...Punted 5 times for 219 yards (43.8 avg), including a pair of attempts downed inside the 20-yard line.
Louisiana State...Had 5 kicks for a 44.2-yard average.
Alabama...Followed with a 41.7-yard average on 9 tries with 3 kicks downed inside the 20-yard line.
South Carolina...Kicked 7 times for 314 yards (44.9 avg) with a long of 55 yards.
Georgia...Had one of his punts blocked, but still averaged 41.2 yards on 6 tries with 3 kicks downed inside the 20-yard line.
Kansas State (Cotton Bowl)...Closed out his career with 8 attempts for only a 29.2-yard average, but kept the Wildcats' heralded return game (David Allen and Aaron Lockett) to only 4 yards gained on three returns.

Academic All-SEC pick...Punted 57 times for 2427 yards (career-high 42.6-yard average)...17 of his attempts were downed inside the 20-yard line while only 28 punts were returned...Took over kickoff duties in the third game of the season (Memphis), as 18 of his 43 attempts resulted in touchbacks.
Wyoming...Began the season with 5 kicks for 227 yards (45.4 avg) and a long of 52 yards.
Florida...Averaged 40.8 yards on 10 tries, including a 54-yarder.
