The following is a letter from Jaguars Owner & CEO Wayne Weaver:

I want to thank those of you who have expressed your support for the Jaguars throughout the recent negotiations with the City. The overwhelming response by Jaguars fans everywhere was a catalyst in moving these issues forward. The groundswell of support that you demonstrated was further proof that the Jaguars have passionate and dedicated fans, and for that you have my heartfelt thanks.

Our challenge now is to maintain this level of excitement and to build on it, by selling out Alltel Stadium for every home game. As a small market team, we rely on the strong support of our fans, the business community, and the City leaders. Reaching an agreement with Mayor Peyton and the City was the first step and now we can move forward to our major challenge of selling out the stadium and fielding a competitive, winning team.

My commitment to Jacksonville has never wavered. Our goal continues to be to bring a championship to this city. Thank you for your powerful show of support, and let's keep this momentum going and growing now and for many years to come. Thank you.
