Old Dominion Takes It Outside: How Good Is That – World Tour Comes to Daily's Place This June

1920x1080

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Seven consecutive Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Group of the Year, Old Dominion, spent 2024 headlining festivals across the country, and they caught a strong better-under-the-stars vibe. When it was time to get back to headlining their own shows, it was a unanimous decision to "take it outside."

With their How Good Is That - World Tour, Old Dominion is ready to take their feeling good music to Odies across the country and beyond, by playing some of the nation's most iconic amphitheaters, small stadiums and another two night-stand at Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys. Coming on the heels of seven straight shows at Nashville's iconic Ryman Auditorium, the band of musical brothers kicks things off at Charleston, SC's Credit One Stadium on June 5 and heads to Daily's Place the very next night on June 6.

Tickets will be available via an exclusive Odies fan presale beginning next Tuesday, February 25 at 10 a.m. through Thursday, February 27 at 10 p.m. The general on-sale will start on Friday, February 28 at 10:00 A.M. local time. Fans can sign up for the Exclusive Fan Presale at weareolddominion.com. Additionally, Jaguars Season Ticket Members, Daily's Place BLUE and Daily's Place Subscribers will have access to presale tickets Thursday, February 27 at 10 a.m.

"There's something special about the energy when you're outside," says lead singer/guitarist Matthew Ramsey. "It's a whole other vibe. When you're out there under the stars, that energy amplifies everything we're doing. So after a year of playing all the festivals, it was the only way to match that crazy energy."

Ramsey, guitarist/vocalist Brad Tursi, keyboardist/vocalist Trevor Rosen, bassist/vocalist Geoff Sprung and drummer Whit Sellers built their sound – as well as career – taking the music they loved, getting in the van and playing the bars across the Southeast as a ragtag group of hit songwriters. That zeal for the moment and strong love for what happens when players meet music lovers has fueled an almost unprecedented rise for the band who've written iconic hits for Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Sam Hunt and more.

Joining them on their North American dates are two artists who both clearly share the dream that originally brought Old Dominion together over a decade ago. 2X ACM Award nominee, 2X CMA Triple Play Award winner, and 2022/2023 VarietyHitmaker, ERNEST and rising country singer/songwriter Redferrin.

"If there's one thing we learned from our summers playing shows and festivals," Ramsey offers, "it's that you can create one really great party by bringing people with you who share your energy, commitment to the fans and desire to really have fun on that stage. Everybody we're bringing with us knows how to have a great time up there, and they share our love for the people who love our music. I can't wait to get these evenings started."

And as Old Dominion demonstrated after raising over $1.25M through their celebratory 7 for 7 Ryman Residency, it's not enough to pull up and play. The Virginia-rooted players want to use their popularity to do good things, especially through music. For their How Good Is That - World Tour, Old Dominion will team up with Propeller, the social impact platform, to support the work of Save the Music, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering students, schools and communities to reach their full potential through music. Save The Music partners with public school districts to donate grants in the form of new musical instruments, technology, equipment, and resources for music teachers. Through Propeller, concertgoers can be entered to win exclusive experiences and prizes throughout the How Good Is That - World Tour.

"It was important to us to start the year by setting a tone of giving back, which we did with our Ryman Residency shows" Ramsey explains, "but its also just as important to us, to carry that though the entire tour."

About Old Dominion

Old Dominion's skyscraping anthems and electrifying live shows have put the Multi-Platinum-selling band prominently at the forefront of country music. Fusing clever lyrics and an infectious sound, their lyrical wit and hook-heavy songwriting has certainly proved to be a winning formula for Nashville's hottest band. It's no wonder Rolling Stone cited Old Dominion as "one of mainstream country music's most popular live groups."* Since breaking onto the music scene, the band has notched nine No. 1 singles at country radio, surpassed five billion on-demand streams, earned a dozen RIAA Platinum and Gold single certifications, and headlined arenas and amphitheaters around the globe. In September, the band debuted a greatest hits compilation *Odies but Goodies. The 31-track collection spans the band's journey from lark to meaningful headliner in a way that pays tribute to what the fans ask for. Old Dominion are currently the reigning 7X Academy of Country Music and 7X Country Music Association "Group of the Year." Most recently, they earned their seventh successive win for "Vocal Group of the Year" at the 2024 CMA Awards, breaking the record for most consecutive Vocal Group Award wins in CMA history. To celebrate this historic feat, the band performed a seven-show residency at Nashville's legendary Ryman Auditorium this February, raising more than $1.25M for seven charities the band has been actively engaged with over their career.

About ERNEST

Nashville's most unpredictable hitmaker ERNEST is "The Charmer" (MusicRow): a triple threat talent who "creates a sound all his own" (Pollstar) and one of Music City's defining artist-writers who continues to push and challenge the artistic status quo. The 2X ACM Award nominee, 2X CMA Triple Play Award winner, and2022 / 2023VarietyHitmaker fuses influences ranging from Eminem to George Jones, crafting a twist-heavy verse style that's become his signature, proving its mettle, and earning him eleven No. 1 hits as a songwriter and one No. 1 at country radio himself. The eccentric free spirit just released his highly anticipated full-length sophomore album, NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE, a set that "maintain(s) Nashville's tethering to its legendary history while wholly embracing the soul of the city's future" (The Tennessean), featuring 26 new originals and collaborations with genre tastemakers Lainey Wilson, Lukas Nelson, Jelly Roll, HARDY, and more. The album has been shortlisted as one of the Best of the Year So Far by Billboard, The Tennessean, and Country Now, following in the footsteps of its critically acclaimed predecessor, FLOWER SHOPS (THE ALBUM), and its cleverly-expanded deluxe edition, FLOWER SHOPS (THE ALBUM): Two Dozen Roses, which added a baker's dozen of fresh cuts to the bunch.

About Redferrin
The buzz around Warner Music Nashville country artist Redferrin is impossible to ignore as one of Nashville's most unorthodox and innovative new singer/songwriters. His recent releases are full of adrenaline-pumping energy and rebellious swagger, providing just a sample of the kaleidoscopic musical textures he can create. With lyrics that serve as a manifesto for his take-it-or-leave-it style, Redferrin wants the new music to become a sonic mirror held up to today's rural culture. Born Blake Redferrin, the White House, Tennessee native spent his first 24 years on the pegs of a dirt bike, now harnessing that thrill-seeking spirit and relentless drive for a new kind of sound. He already boasts several successful cuts, including Florida Georgia Line's hip-hop inspired "Countryside," Nelly's recent smash "Lil Bit," and Dean Brody and The Reklaws' "I Can't Help Myself," which showcased a knack for party starting, hitting No. 1 in Canada and setting a record for the most one-week radio spins in the nation's history. Redferrin is set to release more new music this year as he continues chasing high-speed dreams with the throttle pinned and no kill switch.
