JACKSONVILLE –The Jacksonville Jaguars have elevated TE Josh Pederson to the active roster from the practice squad for tonight's game via standard elevation, the team announced today.
Pederson originally signed to Jacksonville's practice squad on August 31, 2023. Prior to his time in Jacksonville, he spent time in the USFL and played in all 10 games during the 2023 season for the Houston Gamblers. He caught 25 passes for 325 yards and ranked third in receiving yards among tight ends. Prior to joining the Gamblers, he spent time with the San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints, and Kansas City Chiefs during the 2021 season.
Originally from Moorestown, N.J., Pederson played collegiately at Louisiana-Monroe and caught 99 passes for 1,191 yards and 11 touchdowns. In 2019, he was named All-Sun Belt First Team after recording 43 receptions for 567 receiving yards and a team-leading nine receiving touchdowns. He attended Blue Valley North High School in Overland Park, Kansas where he caught 73 passes for 1,102 yards and 16 touchdowns in two seasons.
