JACKSONVILLE – The '21 Jaguars will get an early home stretch.
They'll close the season at home, too.
They'll also play two nationally televised games, including one in prime time, and a significant late-season road stretch – with the NFL releasing the Jaguars' 2021 schedule along with the entire '21 league schedule on Wednesday evening at 8 p.m.
Among the highlights of the Jaguars' '21 schedule: a home game against the Miami Dolphins at Tottenham Hotspur in London on Stadium on October 17 at 9:30 a.m. and a Thursday night prime-time September road game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Bengals game could feature the No. 1 overall selections in the last two NFL Drafts – quarterback Joe Burrow of the Bengals (2020) and quarterback Trevor Lawrence of the Jaguars (2021).
The game will be televised on the NFL Network. It's the Jaguars' lone scheduled prime-time game in 2021.
The Jaguars open the season in the AFC South on the road against the Houston Texans September 12, then play the next two games out of the division at home – against the Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals – before the prime-time game at Cincinnati. They then play host to AFC South rival Tennessee before the London game against the Dolphins, after which they have a Week 7 bye on October 24.
The Dolphins game will be the Jaguars' fourth home game in a five-game early-season stretch.
The Jaguars close October with a road game at the Seattle Seahawks on October 31, with three of their four November games at TIAA Bank Field: the Buffalo Bills (November 7), the San Francisco 49ers (November 21) and the Atlanta Falcons (November 28). The lone November road game is at Indianapolis November 14.
December begins with the first game of a stretch of four road games in five weeks, with the Jaguars playing the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. They then visit the Tennessee Titans, play the Texans at home and have back-to-back road games – at the New York Jets on December 26 and at the New England Patriots January 2.
The Jaguars host the Colts in the regular-season finale on January 9.
The Jaguars in 2021 will play four games each against teams from the NFC West (Rams, San Francisco, Seattle, Arizona) and AFC East (Miami, New England, Buffalo and New York Jets) and six games against AFC South teams (Indianapolis, Tennessee, Houston). They also will play the 2020 last-place teams from the AFC West (Denver), AFC North (Cincinnati) and NFC South (Atlanta).
The schedule features four games against 2020 division champions (two against Tennessee, Seattle and Buffalo) and three more games against 2020 playoff teams (two against Indianapolis and the Rams). They have a stretch of five consecutive games against teams with winning records last season beginning October 10 against Tennessee and ending with the mid-October road game against the Colts.
