OFFICIAL: Cole, Watford, Charles sign with Jaguars

JACKSONVILLE – Jaguars 2017 free agency continued over the weekend.

While Saturday's moves were not as high-profile as those of the previous two days, the team worked to provide veteran depth and extensive NFL experience.

Linebacker Audie Cole, offensive lineman Earl Watford and defensive tackle Stefan Charles all signed with the Jaguars as unrestricted free agents Saturday as the team continued to reshape its roster on and around the start of the NFL's 2017 League Year.

A look at Saturday's signings:

*Cole.A sixth-year veteran, Cole is 27 and appeared in 57 career games in five seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. Cole, originally a seventh-round selection by the Vikings in the 2012 NFL Draft, has 65 career tackles (40 solo) with 3.0 tackles for loss and two passes defensed. He appeared in all 16 games in 2014 and 2016. He attended North Carolina State.

*Watford.A fifth-year veteran, Watford is 26 and appeared in 33 career games with 12 starts in four seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. Watford, originally a fourth-round selection by the Cardinals in the 2013 NFL Draft, appeared in 15 games with 10 starts this past season. He played in in eight games with two starts at right tackle in 2015. He attended James Madison.

*Charles.A fifth-year veteran, Charles is 28 and appeared in 49 career games with Detroit and Buffalo after originally signing with Tennessee as a rookie free agent following the 2013 NFL Draft. He joined the Bills off the Titans' practice squad, registering five sacks in 37 games for the Bills. He signed with the Lions as a free agent, playing in 12 games for Detroit last season. He was the No. 10 overall selection in the 2013 CFL Draft by Edmonton after playing collegiately for the University of Regina.

The Jaguars on Friday made official the signings of defensive end Calais Campbell from the Arizona Cardinals, cornerback A.J. Bouye from the Houston Texans, safety Barry Church from the Dallas Cowboys and defensive end Lerentee McCray from the Buffalo Bills.

The Jaguars on Thursday finalized a trade acquiring left tackle Branden Albert from the Miami Dolphins and re-signed wide receiver Bryan Walters. The team announced it had re-signed offensive lineman Patrick Omameh Friday.

The team also has released defensive end Jared Odrick, defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks and cornerback Davon House in recent weeks, and finalized a deal trading tight end Julius Thomas to the Miami Dolphins on Thursday.

Two other members of the Jaguars last season – safety Johnathan Cyprien, cornerback Prince Amukamara and offensive lineman Luke Joeckel – signed elsewhere as unrestricted free agents. Cyprien signed with the Tennessee Titans and Joeckel signed with the Seattle Seahawks. Amukamara signed with the Chicago Bears.
