Hardy Nickerson, the Jacksonville Jaguars' starting middle linebacker, suffered a neck injury during practice this afternoon and was taken by ambulance to Baptist Medical Center. Preliminary diagnosis of the injury is a pinched nerve in his neck. Nickerson underwent a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) exam and X-rays at Baptist. He has feeling and movement in all extremities after feeling numbness in one arm and hand, and is resting comfortably. He is expected to be released from the hospital this afternoon.
The injury occurred during a nine-on-seven drill. Nickerson's status for Sunday's game will be updated on Thursday morning.
