JACKSONVILLE – The Jaguars addressed a skill need Saturday afternoon.
They made their second trade of the 2022 NFL Draft to do it, giving them an extra selection in the fifth round.
Snoop Conner, a running back from the University of Mississippi, on Saturday was selected by the Jaguars No. 154 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft – the 11th selection of the fifth round. The Jaguars traded with the Philadelphia Eagles for the selection, sending the Eagles the Nos. 188 and 198 selections in the 2022 draft.
Conner (5-feet-10, 222 pounds), who played three seasons at Ole Miss, played in 35 games in college. He rushed for 1,580 career yards with 26 touchdowns, including 647 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2021.
He also caught 32 passes for 225 yards.
The Jaguars on Thursday selected Georgia outside linebacker Travon Walker No. 1 overall and Utah linebacker Devin Lloyd No. 27 overall, selecting Kentucky offensive lineman Luke Fortner No. 65 overall and Wyoming linebacker Chad Muma No. 70 overall Friday. They hold five more selections: No. 188 overall (Round 6), No. 197 overall (Round 6), No. 198 overall (Round 6), No. 222 overall (Round 7) and No. 235 overall (Round 7).
