McMANUS RE-SIGNS WITH JAGUARS

The Jaguars have re-signed middle linebacker Tom McManus, a

five-year veteran who has been with the team since its first season.

Length and terms of the contract are undisclosed.

McManus, 28, played in all 16 games with four starts last year,

making 49 tackles (17 solo) and one forced fumble, as well as eight

stops on special teams. He missed the entire 1997 season with a

torn ACL suffered in training camp. In 1996, McManus replaced an

injured Bryan Schwartz and started 11 games, as well as all three

playoff games.
