Jaguars wide receiver Keenan McCardell underwent successful hernia surgery on Thursday afternoon at Baptist Medical Center and will be out of the lineup indefinitely.
"It was a successful surgery," said Jaguars head coach Tom Coughlin. "We don't know the length of time (for his recovery). These things normally take three to four weeks. Depending on the individual and how the recovery goes, it could be longer, it could be less."
McCardell suffered a groin injury on Aug. 3 during training camp and then re-injured himself in Monday afternoon's practice. He missed both of the team's first two preseason games.
