Maurice Jones-Drew statement

The following is a statement from Adisa Bakari, Maurice Jones-Drew's agent:

After reviewing all of the evidence pertaining to the assault that occurred at the Denny's restaurant in Westwood on the evening of April 23, 2006, the Los Angeles District Attorney's office has concluded that Maurice Drew had no involvement in the incident, and thus has decided to drop all charges against him. Among the evidence reviewed were surveillance videos from the morning in question, which clearly show Maurice exiting the Denny's at the start of the altercation. From the very beginning we were confident that upon completion of a thorough investigation into the matter, Maurice would be vindicated. Needless to say, Maurice is pleased with the decision, and looks forward to giving his full attention to contributing to the success of the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is much appreciative of the many family members and friends who remained confident in his innocence, and who never once questioned his character and integrity. He also appreciates the entire Jaguars organization for its constant support throughout this ordeal.
