JACKSONVILLE – Defense remains the watchword – with a notable exception.
This is the fifth jaguars.com 2025 mock draft tracker – and while analysts continue to project defensive players to the Jaguars at No. 5 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, an offensive skill player is an increasingly popular projection.
That player is Tetairoa McMillian, a wide receiver from Arizona who two analysts projected to the Jaguars at No. 5 overall in this week's tracker.
"He's a full tree route-runner that has one of the largest catch radii you'll ever see," Michael Renner of CBS Sports wrote.
Defensive tackle Mason Graham and cornerback Will Johnson of Michigan – as has been the case in recent weeks – remain the most-projected players to the Jaguars at No. 5 overall. Five analysts projected Graham there in this week's tracker.
"Mason Graham stands out as one of the most complete football players in this draft class," Reese Decker of Pro Football Network wrote. "A disciplined defender, he excels against the run and is a powerful pass rusher. He consistently establishes leverage, utilizes intentional hand placement, and is a relentless finisher."
Tom Fornelli of CBS Sports wrote that "Graham is extremely athletic, strong and has a motor that goes forever."

"Graham, a powerful interior defender with quickness off the snap and solid disruptive moves, has the skill set to be a perennial Pro Bowler and anchor of a defense," Marco Enriquez of Pro Football Network wrote. "While his power in the trenches is evident to anyone who watches Graham, the difference-maker for him is his football IQ."
Four analysts projected Johnson at No. 5 overall, with Ryan Fowler of the Draft Network calling him "as fluid and technically elite a corner as you'll find from the college ranks."
"He has the height, length and ball skills to remind everyone why he was a blue-chip prospect entering the 2024 campaign," Chad Reuter of NFL.com wrote.
Also projected to the Jaguars at No. 5 overall this week:
- Louisiana State offensive tackle Will Campbell
- Texas cornerback Jahdae Barron
"Barron can speed up, slow down and then burst again better than any corner in this class, allowing him to adjust to the ball in midair to better position himself to defend passes," Cynthia Frelund of NFL.com wrote.
