The Jacksonville Jaguars signed rookie free agent guard Wade Grayson and waived wide receiver Nate Hughes and linebacker Eric Gordon, the club announced today. The club also activated tight end Marcedes Lewis from the reserve/did not report list and long snapper Jeremy Cain practiced for the first time on Monday. Cain had been on the non-football injury list.
Grayson, 6-4, 302, was a two-year starter at Arkansas. A native of Harrison, Ark., he was part of an offensive line in 2010 that paved the way for the first season in Arkansas history with a 3,000-yard passer and 1,000-yard rusher. He started the final 10 games of his junior campaign. He was a standout offensive tackles and defensive end at Harrison High School in Arkansas.
