The Jaguars today signed veteran cornerback Omare Lowe and placed cornerback Scott Starks on injured reserve after Starks suffered a torn ACL in his knee in last Sunday's win at Indianapolis. The team also re-signed offensive tackle Andrew Carnahan to the practice squad and waived linebacker Lamar Myles from the practice squad.
Starks, 25, played in one game this season after missing the first two contests with a pectoral injury suffered in the preseason. The fourth-year veteran has played in 49 career games with one start and has recorded 48 tackles, two interceptions and two forced fumbles along with 44 special teams tackles. The 5-9, 176-pounder was originally selected by the Jaguars in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft out of Wisconsin.
Lowe, 30, was signed by Seattle as a veteran free agent on April 7 before being released on August 27. The 6-1, 195-pound cornerback has spent time with seven different teams and has played in 38 career games with one start. The seventh year veteran has recorded 13 career tackles and 31 special teams tackles. He will wear jersey No. 26.
