JAGUARS SIGN HICKS, WAIVE NEVADOMSKY

The Jacksonville Jaguars today signed third-year LB Anthony Hicks

and waived LB Jason Nevadomsky. Length and terms of the deal

are not disclosed by the team.

Hicks, 6-1, 243, was drafted in the fifth round in 1997 by the Green

Bay Packers. As a rookie he strained his right quadriceps in the

third preseason game and was placed on injured reserve. In 1998,

he tore his left tricep in the Packer's preseason opener and was

placed on injured reserve.

Hicks, 25, played 33 games at Arkansas, where he received his

degree in administrative management.

Nevadomsky, 23, was signed by the Jaguars on January 19. He was

waived by the New York Giants in final cuts in 1998 after signing as

an undrafted rookie. He was assigned to the NFL Europe League,

but returned to Jacksonville after a knee injury.

The Jaguars' roster is now at 82 players, with two draft picks yet to

sign.
