The Jacksonville Jaguars released safety Mike Dumas today. Dumas, 27, played in 14 games in 1995, starting eight times at free safety. He made 54 tackles and one interception on defense and 10 tackles and one forced fumble on special teams. He had single-game highs of 11 tackles vs. Chicago and at Pittsburgh, and 10 in the Jaguars' inaugural game against Houston. A six-year veteran, Dumas played for Houston from 1991 to '93 and with Buffalo in 1994.
The Jaguars' roster is now at 85 players. The team will hold its official mini-camp this weekend on the practice fields adjacent to the stadium.
