*WHO: *David Garrard, quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars, will be at Nemours Children's Clinic on Tuesday, November 9 and be available for interviews at 3:45 p.m. along with Nemours physicians from the Division of Gastroenterology.
WHY: David Garrard was diagnosed with Crohn's disease in 2004 and aims to increase awareness of the disease and encourage others struggling with the illness. In recognition of "CCFA (Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America) Sunday" at EverBank Field on November 14, the David Garrard Foundation is giving families living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) an opportunity to meet the quarterback and be inspired by his story. Garrard and Nemours physicians will provide helpful information on the disease and show kids that their condition should not be an obstacle for their dreams and aspirations.
