JACKSONVILLE – It's official: The No. 27 overall selection is signed.
Devin Lloyd, the No. 27 overall selection by the Jaguars in the 2022 NFL Draft, has signed his rookie contract. The team announced the signing Thursday afternoon, a day before the first day of the team's rookie minicamp at TIAA Bank Field.
Lloyd (6-feet-2, 237 pounds), a linebacker who played four seasons at Utah, had 255 career tackles – including 149 solos – with 16.5 sacks and 43 tackles for loss. He had 22 tackles for loss and eight sacks this past season.
He was a first-team Associated Press All-America selection and the Pacific 12 Defensive Player of the Year in 2021, and a first-team All-Pac 12 selection each of the past two seasons.
The Jaguars on Thursday also officially signed four other '22 draft selections: Outside linebacker Travon Walker (Round 1, No. 1 overall, Georgia), running back Snoop Conner (Round 5, No. 154 overall, Mississippi), cornerback Greg Junior (Round 6, No. 197 overall, Ouachita Baptist) and cornerback Montaric Brown (Round 7, No. 222, Arkansas).
Two Jaguars '22 selections remain unsigned: offensive lineman Luke Fortner (Round 3, No. 65 overall, Kentucky) and linebacker Chad Muma (Round 3, No. 70 overall, Wyoming).
