The Jacksonville Jaguars announced plans to recognize our local police officers and firefighters during the pre-game ceremony at the team's Home Opener against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, September 11th.
Pre-game festivities will include a salute to the men and women who serve our community, and who played a vital role in the success of Super Bowl XXXIX.
Included in the pre-game ceremony will be the unveiling of a 300-foot by 150-foot American flag that will be presented, during the National Anthem, by players from both the Jaguars and Seahawks, as well as, members of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department. Following the National Anthem will be a flyover performed by four F-15 Eagles from the 125th Fighter Wing of the Florida Air National Guard based in Jacksonville.
"We are excited to honor our local heroes on such a significant date in American history," said Tim Connolly, Jaguars Sr. Vice President of Business Development. "We hope to present a truly memorable pre-game ceremony that will appropriately recognize our local police officers and firefighters."
In support of the festivities, the Jaguars, Firehouse Subs and Zurich Insurance have purchased 500 tickets that will be distributed to the local Police and Firefighters in an effort to thank them for their commitment and heroic efforts.
The Jaguars are also excited to host a special guest announcer at Sunday's Home Opener. Michael Buffer will join the pre-game celebration by introducing the Jaguars starting players. Mr. Buffer will also kick-off the game with his famous trademarked phrase, "Let's Get Ready to Rumble!"
Approximately 1,900 general bowl tickets remain for the game and must be purchased prior to Thursday, September 8th at 1pm in order for the game to be shown on television in the Jacksonville area and secondary markets.

- By visiting the Alltel Stadium Ticket Office located next to the West Crown Royal Touchdown Club. Office hours are 9AM-5PM, Monday through Friday.
Single game ticket prices for the Home Opener against Seattle are as follows: $35 $45, $50 $65 and $95. Crown Royal Touchdown Club seats are also available upon request.
