The following are notes from the Jaguars 17-10 loss to the Titans.
WITHERSPOON PICKS UP WHERE HE LEFT OFF
Rookie free agent Brian Witherspoon wasted no time making a presence in the return game. Witherspoon had kickoff returns of 49 and 51 yards and also had a 29-yard punt return in the second quarter. Witherspoon was the only undrafted free agent to make the club's opening day roster in 2008. He averaged 33.8 yards on four kickoff returns in the preseason and led the NFL with a 16.3 punt return average.
##### SENSABAUGH RECORDS INTERCEPTION; PARTIALLY BLOCKS PUNT IN THIRD QUARTER
Safety Gerald Sensabaugh intercepted Vince Young in the second quarter to set up the Jaguars' first score of the game. It was Sensabaugh's third career interception and first interception since Dec. 10, 2006 vs. Indianapolis. In addition, he partially blocked a Craig Hentrich punt in the third quarter. He missed 14 games in 2007 with a shoulder injury.
DERRICK HARVEY RECORDS FIRST CAREER INTERCEPTION
Rookie DE Derrick Harvey picked off Vince Young midway the fourth quarter. Harvey, the eighth overall pick in the draft, did not record an interception in three seasons at Florida.
##### TAYLOR BECOMES 36TH PLAYER IN NFL HISTORY WITH 13,000 YARDS FROM SCRIMMAGE
Fred Taylor became only the 36th player in NFL history with 13,000 career yards from scrimmage. Taylor finished with 27 yards from scrimmage today.
JAGUARS CONTINUE FOURTH DOWN WAYS
The Jaguars converted their only fourth down attempt, a fourth-and-one on their own 41 yard line in the first quarter. David Garrard was successful on a quarterback sneak to pick up the first down. The Jaguars led the NFL in 2007 with 33 fourth down attempts and 19 conversions. The 33 attempts were the most in the NFL since 1996 when New England had 34 attempts.
##### GREG JONES SCORES FIRST POINTS OF 2008 SEASON FOR JAGUARS
FB/RB Greg Jones scored on a one-yard pass from David Garrard in the second quarter, giving the Jaguars a 7-3 lead. Jones has 12 career touchdowns (9 rushing, 3 receiving).
GARRARD THROWS TD PASS IN SEVENTH STRAIGHT GAME
br>David Garrard extended his streak with a touchdown pass to seven games. Garrard has at least one touchdown pass in 17 of his last 19 games.
##### MATT JONES CONTINUES SUCCESS AGAINST TITANS
Matt Jones led the Jaguars with five receptions for 80 yards. In six career games against the Titans, Jones has recorded 18 receptions for 259 yards and 3 TDs.
INACTIVES
The following players were inactive for the Jaguars: CB Scott Starks, RB Chauncey Washington, CB Isaiah Gardner, C Brad Meester, DT Derek Landri, WR Jerry Porter, WR Mike Walker and OT Charles Spencer.

Eight players had receptions for the Jaguars including seven with at least two receptions … Long snapper Joe Zelenka extended his team record with his 113th consecutive game played … DT John Henderson made his 92nd career start, tied for the eighth-most in team history (92, Keenan McCardell, 1996-2001) … Josh Scobee has scored in 42 consecutive games dating back to 1/2/05 which is the second-longest streak in team history. Mike Hollis holds the team record at 67 games.
