JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars will hold the HBCU Careers in Sports Combine for current students and recent graduates of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) interested in careers in sports. The event, in its second year, will be held on Friday, Oct. 20, the day before the Bethune-Cookman University vs. Southern University football game at EverBank Stadium.
Registered attendees will hear from executives of the Jaguars, PGA TOUR, LPGA, NASCAR and Fanatics on panels and in roundtables; participate in interviews for job opportunities; obtain a professional headshot; and network with executives.
The morning will kick off with the Executive Track Program, a cohort of 10 HBCU students or recent graduates chosen by the Black Sport Business Academy, a non-profit organization committed to enhancing experiences and sports and entertainment career outcomes for students at HBCUs. The earlier track will provide a more hands-on experience with interviewing skills, networking and roundtables.
