Jacksonville Jaguars Head Coach and Foundation President Jack Del Rio and his wife Linda hosted the inaugural Jack Del Rio Foundation VIP Celebration and Celebrity Golf Tournament in October at the TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. A check presentation will take place this Sunday on the field prior to the Jaguars' home game against the Minnesota Vikings. Grants will be awarded to Seamark Ranch, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Cathedral Arts Project and the Community Asthma Partnership at Wolfson Children's Hospital.
The Del Rios established the Jack Del Rio Foundation in June to improve the lives of underserved youth by assisting programs that aid in the development, education and enrichment of our youth. Celebrities for the inaugural event included Gene Hackman, Jack Youngblood, Anthony Munoz, Jimmy Johnson, Mike "Boogie" Bell, Sterling Sharpe, Brad Meester, Matt Jones, Mike Tice, Tony Boselli, Sean Salisbury, Maurice Jones-Drew, Rashean Mathis, Brian Witherspoon, Maurice Williams, Daryl Smith, Derek Landri, Reggie Nelson, Joe Zelenka, and many more.
