In and out: Hayden active, Ramsey out

PANTHERSINACTIVES

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – D.J. Hayden will be active for the Jaguars Sunday.

As expected, Jalen Ramsey will not.

Hayden, the Jaguars' nickel cornerback who was placed on the injury report as questionable with a foot injury on Saturday, was not among the Jaguars' seven inactives announced shortly before their game against the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium Sunday afternoon.

Ramsey, the Jaguars' two-time Pro Bowl cornerback, was ruled out with a back injury Friday afternoon. This will mark the second consecutive game Ramsey has missed with the issue. Second-year veteran Tre Herndon will start for Ramsey for a second consecutive week.

A.J. Cann will start at right guard for the Jaguars. He has rotated with Will Richardson Jr. at the spot the last two games.

Also inactive for the Jaguars Sunday:

Defensive end Lerentee McCray (oblique), tight end Josh Oliver (hamstring), wide receiver C.J. Board, running back Tyler Ervin, offensive lineman Brandon Thomas and defensive tackle Dontavius Russell.
