The Jacksonville Jaguars today waived wide receiver Matthew Hatchette and claimed linebacker Courtland Bullard off waivers from the St. Louis Rams.
Bullard, 25, was a fifth-round draft choice of the Rams in 2002. He played in 11 games as a rookie (one start) and totaled one tackle on defense and 11 on special teams. This season, the 6-3, 234-pound Bullard played in nine games, making three tackles on defense. He was a three-year starter and four-year letterman at Ohio State, playing outside linebacker and appearing in 50 games. Bullard is a native of Miami and a member of the USA Today All-America team at Southridge High School.
Hatchette played in six games with four starts for the Jaguars but was inactive for the last seven games. He caught 15 passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns.
