The Jacksonville Jaguars signed rookie linebacker Clint Ingram to a contract today. Ingram was drafted in the third round and was one of six players selected by the Jaguars in the 2006 NFL Draft in April. He is the final Jaguars draft pick to sign a contract and all 85 Jaguars are now under contract.
Ingram, the 80th overall pick, is expected to compete for a starting job at linebacker. He was a two-year starter at Oklahoma and recorded 127 tackles, seven sacks, 16 tackles for loss, five interceptions and four forced fumbles. He was named All-Big 12 Conference second-team by the coaches as a senior.
The club will open camp with two practices on Saturday with the first scheduled for 10:15 a.m. and an evening practice at 7:15 p.m. Training camp will be open to the public and media for viewing through August 11.
