September 6, 2023 – EverBank and the Jacksonville Jaguars have teamed up again for Touchdowns for Tomorrow. For every regular season Jaguars touchdown, both at home and away, EverBank will donate $500 to Junior Achievement of North Florida (JANFL).
The contribution helps JANFL secure financial education materials needed to teach the organization's JA in a Day programming. This initiative provides elementary and middle school students from low- and moderate-income communities with specialized curriculum showing students the relevance between what they are learning in school and the real world.
"Financial literacy education in elementary school establishes a basis for greater financial capability later in life," said Shannon Italia, President of Junior Achievement of North Florida. "Thanks to EverBank's Touchdowns for Tomorrow program, we can ensure that more young people have access to the information they need to benefit themselves, their families, and ultimately their communities."
The Touchdowns for Tomorrow program, in its second year, puts valuable resources in the hands of Northeast Florida students by bringing financial programing to schools through Junior Achievement's JA in a Day program. Volunteers will teach the curriculum and Jaguars alumni players will join in to discuss the impact of literacy on their lives.
