Following the events last week in New York and Washington, security in and around ALLTEL Stadium has been upgraded and will be in place for Sunday's home game between the Jaguars and Tennessee Titans. An increased number of uniformed police officers will patrol inside and outside ALLTEL Stadium and new security guidelines will be implemented at all stadiums throughout the National Football League.
These new measures, in the interest of security and safety, are in addition to previous restrictions. In the past, such items as coolers, strollers and umbrellas were not allowed in ALLTEL Stadium. The following guidelines will also now apply:
- Bags, backpacks, fanny packs, large purses and large camera cases will not be allowed inside the stadium
- No bags larger than a small purse will be permitted inside the stadium
- All objects and bags will be subject to visual and physical inspection prior to entry into the stadium
Fans attending Sunday's game are strongly encouraged to make plans to arrive early at the stadium because these new safety measures may cause delays at the entry gates. The Touchdown Clubs will open at 11:00 and all other gates will open at 11:30 for Sunday's 1:00 kickoff. Fans are encouraged to move into their seats sooner than usual to avoid the last-minute gate pressure which frequently occurs prior to kickoff.
There will be no changes in the ALLTEL Stadium parking lots; every vehicle must have a parking pass to enter a lot.
