Duffner, Aukerman return to Jaguars coaching staff

Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey has added Mark Duffner and Craig Aukerman to his coaching staff. Duffner returns as linebackers coach, while Aukerman was named assistant special teams coach.

Duffner enters his seventh season coaching the Jaguars' linebackers. He has played a major role in the development and performance of Daryl Smith, who has made more than 100 tackles in each of the past seven seasons and last season broke the team record with 15 tackles for loss. Paul Posluszny, who joined the Jaguars last season as a free agent, led the team with a career-high 192 tackles, the second-most ever by a Jaguars linebacker. Duffner is in his 16th season in the NFL and his 38th in coaching. He coached at the collegiate level for 22 years including 11 seasons as a head coach at Holy Cross and Maryland.

Aukerman was the Jaguars' defensive staff assistant last season in his first year with the Jaguars. He has 12 years of coaching experience including 10 at the collegiate level. Aukerman's first season in the NFL was as an assistant on the Denver Broncos coaching staff in 2010.
